Lenny Rachitsky is one of my biggest inspirations in the newsletter world, and this interview offers a rare inside look at his life and trajectory to building the top business newsletter on Substack. From co-founding Localmind, a hyperlocal Q&A app connecting travelers with locals for real-time questions, to seven years as a Product Manager at Airbnb, to launching Lenny’s Newsletter, now at 1.2M subscribers. A few takeaways:
Self-confidence and the drive to prove himself: “Starting your own company is a great way of showing people what you can do, versus working for someone telling you what to do.”
